REQUIREMENTS FOR EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION OF PEOPLE IN INDUSTRY 4.0

Abstract: We are on the threshold of a technological revolution that fundamentally changes the requirements for people's education and qualifications. The main aim of the paper is to identify the existence of education availability in the Slovak Republic, which would support the creation of new jobs related to the onset of industry 4.0. At the same time to find out what are the requirements for education and qualification of people in the industry 4.0 who would hold new jobs. For the purpose of our contribution, we chose unions at secondary vocational and industrial schools, universities for individual regions of the Slovak Republic with potential potential for future professions brought by industry 4.0. The paper was processed using methods of analysis of secondary and primary sources, synthesis of knowledge, induction, deduction and comparison. The primary data were obtained from the scientific article Benešová - Tupá (2017), whose job profiles and strategies were baseline for the purpose of the paper. However, the requirements placed on schools often conflict with real results. Schools are not able to go with the pace of turbulent change, and future generations are not adequately preparing for today and tomorrow. Digitization can be seen as an enormous contribution in the field of education that allows for the use of new innovative methods, but must be treated critically. Not all changes are positive and automatically lead to better individual performance. The digitization of society is essential, so it is necessary to create an ideal environment for its implementation, also in view of its negative effects.

TRYING TO BREAK FREE FROM THE OCCUPIERS

Abstract: 75 years ago, on August 29, 1944, we made a significant contribution to European history. Active resistance to the established regime and the desire for the reconstruction of the Czechoslovak Republic led the Slovak nation to participate in an armed conflict. The present article illustrates how the situation in the Slovak State developed (before, during and after the outbreak of the Slovak National Uprising). We will focus not only on individual events, but also on changes in the organization of public administration. The methods used in his work were mainly analysis, synthesis, literature search and study of historical sources, which as a basis of research contributed to achieving the set goal.

GENDER EQUALITY IN THE MANAGEMENT POSITIONS OF UNIVERSITY OF TRENČÍN

Abstract: Although there is a progress in gender equality of women and man in Slovak Republic, there is still a continuing inequality almost in all areas of private and public life. Gender inequalities in work process and also in many different areas in Slovakia are made by mutually influenced factors, for example traditional division of gender roles, weak knowledge of their rights and agenda of gender equality and last but not least lack of service for harmonizing the family and work life. In the present, women penetrate to jobs, which were domain of men. Women take over directing jobs, working at the ministries, banks, in the municipal authorities. Many women work in the justice system, advocacy, education and health system. In the field of education, approximately same number of women compared to men has university degree. This creates conditions for higher competitiveness with men.
In next contribution we would like to present the differences in position and participation of women in the management positions of Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín and its departments and compare them with data from previous period, which authors continuously observe and process.

SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED ENTERPRISES IN THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC AND THEIR FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE

Abstract: Small and medium-sized enterprises are one of the most important parts of the economy in all countries with developed economies. The dynamic development of small and medium-sized enterprises is one of the basic preconditions for a healthy economic development of the country. They are a source of growth, contributing to increasing innovative activities and developing a competitive environment. They quickly adapt and respond sensitively to changes. They create new job opportunities and thus reduce unemployment. Small and medium-sized enterprises are gaining an increasing market share and their share of gross domestic product is also increasing. Small and medium-sized enterprises make up 99% of business entities in the Slovak Republic, provide employment opportunities to almost three-quarters of the workforce and contribute significantly to the creation of added value.
The aim of the paper is to evaluate the development of small and medium enterprises in the Slovak Republic and to assess their financial performance using financial analysis indicators.

EVALUATION OF ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCES OF REFUGEE MIGRATION IN GERMANY AND SLOVAKIA

Abstract: The study seeks to answer the question: what costs for the beneficiary country arise from refugee migration in the context of their attitudes to dealing with the migration crisis? The use of theoretical general methods of scientific knowledge creates the basis for the analysis of time series of refugee migration and asylum seekers in Germany and Slovakia. It then seeks to quantify the cost of the refugee applying for asylum in the receiving country, up to its integration into the labor market. The issue is looked at through the attitudes that countries have taken in dealing with the migration crisis - Germany pro-migration and Slovakia - anti-migration. By comparing the approaches of applied policies against the background of economic development in the country.
